If you haven’t received your Companies House personal code after completing identity verification, there are several possible explanations and clear steps to resolve the issue.

Common reasons for not receiving your code

1. Verification is not yet complete

Your personal code is only issued after your identity has been fully verified. If your verification required additional checks or is still being processed, the code will not have been sent yet. Check the status of your verification through the service you used.

2. The email went to spam or junk

Automated emails from verification services and Companies House can end up in spam filters. Search your spam and junk folders for emails containing “personal code”, “verification” or the name of the service you used.

3. Wrong email address

If you entered an incorrect email address when creating your account, the notification with your personal code may have been sent elsewhere. Check the email address on your verification account to make sure it is correct.

4. Technical delay

Occasionally, there may be a delay in email delivery or in the issuance of personal codes by Companies House. If you verified very recently, allow a reasonable time for the process to complete.
